Independent Study
Search

New to our list of opportunities this year is an independent study process
that a Catechist can work on in conjunction with the Parish Catechetical
Leader. There are twenty (20) topics available that can be downloaded from www.archbalt.org/evangelization-catechesis/catechist-formation.  Each topic is a four-page flier that contains a teaching on that subject. You will need a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and a Bible in order to read the references listed in the articles. At the end of every flier there are a series of questions. You as the participant will write out the answers to these questions. When completed you should make an appointment with your PCL to briefly discuss the material and answers. Written material should then be submitted to the Coordinator of Catechetical Formation. You will then be granted a certificate for 1 clock hour
in the appropriate Area of Growth.
