Opportunities for the Reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation - Adults may be confirmed by the bishop during the parish celebration of Confirmation.
- Adults may be confirmed at the archdiocesan celebration in the fall or on Pentecost Sunday.
- Formerly uncatechized adults completing their initiation in the Catholic Church through the RCIA process may be confirmed at the Easter Vigil.
Two Archdiocesan Celebrations of Confirmation
Both occasions of the celebration of the conferral of Confirmation are open to adults and youth. Registration Form
- Sunday, March 8, 2009, 2:00 pm, Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. (The March celebration is geared to youth with the liturgy and homily directed toward this age group. The youth may include those from parishes who have small numbers to be confirmed, or youth who missed parish celebrations due to extraordinary circumstances).
- Sunday, May 31, 2009, (Pentecost Sunday) 2:00 pm, Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. (The Pentecost celebration is mainly intended for catechized, unconfirmed adults).
